The Big Story ...
Chapter 1 – TotalCom, TotalCommunication
Not too long ago, the CEO of a building products company asked TotalCom to design and install all their voice communications systems in a brand-new 34,000 square foot facility. When the job was finished, he wrote to say "It’s great when a company name says everything about that company. TotalCom - total communication, total service, total installation and total caring." (The CEO was Sam O’Krent.)

So while we started out in 1993 with a focus on telecommunications systems – and we still are a recognized leader for that service – the "Com" in our name has grown to include other meanings as well. We now work in security, CCTV, access control, and fire alarm protection, as well as voice/data.

But as our delighted customer Sam said, the most important part of our name will always be the "Total" part.

Chapter 2 – TotalCom, TotalCommitment, A commitment to customer service starts with great employees.
When Moe Oroian, RCDD, our president, was interviewed recently, he emphasized that TotalCom’s growth stemmed from its employees – both their superior knowledge of products and systems, as well as their quality workmanship when actually working on site.

He went on to say, "We’re good at what we do and I credit that to the performance of my top-notch staff. As a Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD), I’m one of only a handful locally that provides installation services in addition to system design."

TotalCom doesn’t just talk the talk about its commitment to customers – it walks the walk. We’re one of the rare companies that have a dedicated, highly experienced manager assigned to be the in-house liaison for our customers, making sure that what was promised is what is delivered.

Chapter 3 – TotalCom, TotalCompetence.
We started with just three people, and now have a staff of 22. Every one of our employees is here because of his or her competence, first and foremost.

Our proven professionals have mastery knowledge of EIA/TIA specifications, business experience, and technical resources to deliver high quality solutions.

Moe Oroian - President - Since their start in 1993, Moe has been earning his reputation as a dependable, proficient Low Voltage Professional acknowledged for expertise in all phases of Voice/Data/CCTV/CATV/Access Control/Paging Operations. That’s a long way from Totalcom’s original focus on telecommunications systems.

Fred Duquette – Sales – Fred had worked in the communications industry for the past ten years.   Overall he has over fifteen years of experience in sales in the San Antonio area.   Fred holds a current Texas  level I security license and numerous security certifications.   From  BOSCH,  Digital Video Recording, to Fire-Lite Alarm systems, Access Control, Nortel telephone systems, and more.   Throughout his tenure, he continues to help companies translate their telecommunications and security needs into solutions.

Amber Noel - Customer Relations Manager - Amber joined TotalCom in June, 2007.   Her role with the team is to serve as customer liaison between our Sales and Operations Departments working on behalf of TotalCom’s customers to ensure their highest level of satisfaction.   She brings over twenty years experience serving corporate, upper level executives in an administrative capacity in both the private and public sectors.   She possesses a degree in Hospitality/Tourism Operations completing her internship with the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau.   In 2004, she was awarded Member of the Year by the Pelican Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.

Chapter 4, Total Com, TotalComfort.
What our focus on your total satisfaction means, is that we provide comfort that your valuable assets – property, data, and  people – are being protected by the best, most current technology available.

It can be a scary world out there, and there are never any guarantees. But if we can go home after a job knowing that you have more comfort, more confidence, in your security / communications system, then we go home happy.

Of course there’s also the comfort that comes from access control systems, monitored 24/7. When they are on, you can breathe a bit more deeply.

Comfort can mean an old pair of sneakers or your kid’s teddy bear. But we think comfort means, at its center, having total confidence in your communication and security systems.

And, as this telling of the TotalCom story comes to the end, our wish for you:
"And they lived happily ever after."
